Directions From Anchorage to the Double Eagle
Take the Seward Highway south of Anchorage until you come to a junction with signage to Seward or Homer. Take a right at the fork towards Homer on Sterling Highway. You will stay on the Sterling Highway all the way to Homer.
You will be less than one mile downhill to the Double Eagle once you pass the Official State Overlook with signage reading “Welcome to Homer, Halibut Capital of the World.” As you travel downhill you will pass the old Bayview Hotel (R), then Bay Vista Place (R), then a small colorful sign that reads Baycrest Greenhouse (R). Once you pass the Greenhouse sign, you will pass one driveway with a US Flag in the front, (R), then it’s the next driveway right with a street sign that reads Double Eagle St and head downhill to your accommodation.
Directions From Homer Airport to the Double Eagle
Once you depart the Airport, take a right at the corner on Ocean Drive. Pass over Beluga Lake bridge and a stop light (McDonalds on the right corner). Continue straight on the Sterling Highway past the Safeway Grocery Store on your right and continue uphill. As you get closer to the cabins you will see Hunter Street on your right, then Mt. Augustine on your left, (getting close now). Pass a very colorful Alaska-themed painted school bus on your left and the Alaska Adventure Cabins. Once you pass the cabin driveway, it will be the second driveway left with a sign that reads Double Eagle. Head downhill to your accommodations.
